The significance of the Dinner
This event commemorates the East Timor Independence movement’s unilateral declaration of independence on the 28th of November 1975. Nine days later the armed forces of their much larger neighbour launched a full scale invasion. This was followed by a 24 year occupation.

Briefing on progress of AETA strategic planning:
AETA Committee Member and Survey Analyst, Ann Wigglesworth will deliver a summary of the recent Membership Survey. Vice Chairperson, Tony Marjoram will give a brief presentation about the following Strategic Planning Workshop and the overall AETA Strategic Planning Project.
